From the NFL to the Mainstage: The Story of Larry Lee & Back In The Day - From NFL stadiums to concert stages, Larry Lee’s journey is a powerful blend of athletic achievement and musical passion. A former NFL player and executive, Larry spent 16 years in professional football—eight as a player with the Lions, Dolphins, and Broncos, including an appearance in Super Bowl XXII, and eight as Vice President of the Detroit Lions.

After retiring from the NFL, Larry returned to his first love—music. A bass guitarist for over 50 years, he formed Larry Lee & Back In The Day (BITD)—a band that brings together some of the finest musicians in the industry. The lineup includes former members of legendary acts like The Temptations, The Spinners, The Dramatics, The Contours, and Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, as well as a Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee.

For over two decades, BITD has delivered high-energy, genre-spanning performances that have thrilled audiences nationwide. They’ve shared the stage with icons like Chaka Khan, Boyz II Men, and Smokey Robinson, and earned honors such as Best R&B Band and Bass Player of the Year from the Detroit Music Awards.
