Larry Lee & Back In The Day Band

Larry Lee is a former NFL player, NFL executive, and accomplished professional musician who brings passion and excellence to everything he does. He spent 16 years in the NFL—8 as a player with the Lions, Dolphins, and Broncos, including an appearance in Super Bowl XXII, and 8 as Vice President of the Detroit Lions.

After retiring from football, Larry returned to his first love—music—and formed Larry Lee & Back In The Day Band, a powerhouse group featuring members from legendary acts like The Temptations, The Spinners, The Dramatics, and The Contours.

With over 50 years as a bass guitarist, Larry and his band have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in music, including Chaka Khan, Boyz II Men, Smokey Robinson, George Clinton, Ohio Players, Morris Day and The Time, The Four Tops, The Spinners, Sheila E, New Edition, WAR, Charlie Wilson, Pussycat Dolls, Cameo, The Whispers, Lakeside, and many more.

Known for their high-energy performances, world-class musicianship, and timeless throwback sound, Larry Lee & Back In The Day Band have become favorites at festivals, corporate events, and major celebrations, captivating audiences across generations.

Larry Lee, former NFL player, NFL executive, and professional musician is a leader and has done everything first class and to the ultimate. He spent 16 years in the NFL, 8 as a player with the Lions, Dolphins, and Broncos and 8 as Vice-President of the Detroit Lions.

James Chaney

A storied musical veteran, he has toured the world multiple times with legendary acts like Motown’s Funk Brothers, The Contours, John Lee Hooker, Tyrone Davis, Little Milton, and more. His soulful saxophone has lit up countless stages.

Oscar Walters

Oscar Walters started playing in clubs in the Detroit area. He Joined the army out of high school as a musician, and stayed in for 20 years.He Played in Europe, Korea, and the United States with several military and professional bands In past 20 years

Eric Boyd

Eric is a quiet assassin on guitar—focused and precise until it’s time to let loose. Once unleashed, he enters full attack mode, captivating the crowd with every note. His fingers make the guitar speak, scream, and soar in ways you never imagined.

Beverly Thompson

This singing veteran hails from Inkster, Michigan. She has made a name for herself in the heavily talented Detroit area by wowing crowds wherever she performs. A late starter that is approaching this opportunity like a 20 year old.

Jean Johnson

A professional vocalist with over 30 years in the music industry. Enjoys both lead and background vocals and has an expanded octave range. Originally from the Seattle area then moved to Cleveland.

John Jackson

A vocal veteran who has traveled the world as a member of Olli Woodsons Temptations. His vocal abilities allows him to cover a multitude of genres.

Steve Cooley

Is an experienced trumpeter that has traveled th world with groups like the dramatics and others.

Paris Mooch Reese

A drummers drummers. Mooch has graced stages all around the world with several national acts too numerous to mention. He has style and flair all.

DuWayne Smith

DuWayne is a seasoned touring veteran whose keyboard magic has supported artists like Cherrelle, R.J.’s Latest Arrival, Michael Henderson, and more. With years of experience.
