On Friday, August 28, 2026, from 7:00–9:00 PM, audiences can enjoy a FREE outdoor concert featuring the high-energy sound of one of Detroit’s standout R&B and soul bands. Known for their powerful musicianship, dynamic vocals and timeless stage presence, Larry Lee & The Back in the Day Band bring together the sounds of Motown, R&B, soul, funk, pop, disco and classic dance music for an evening designed to get the crowd singing, dancing and celebrating.

Led by Larry Lee, a former NFL player and Detroit Lions executive who returned to his first love of music, the band features accomplished musicians with connections to legendary acts including The Temptations, The Spinners, The Dramatics and The Contours. Over the years, the band has shared stages with some of the biggest names in music and has built a reputation for energetic performances that connect with audiences across generations.
